Let me introduce myself: I'm the man with the world's best job, earning a modest crust by writing and lecturing about some of the most scenically spectacular places on earth; spending many weeks each year with camera, notebook and tape recorder wandering among mountains straight out of dreams.
Someone once said that all who love the wild places are incurable dreamers. That's certainly true of me! How about you?
Should your dreams include mountains of the Alps, Pyrenees or the high Himalaya - or perhaps the more modest landscapes of southern England - maybe through my guidebooks (or lectures) I can help you turn those dreams into your own personal reality. It's what I'm about. So let me share with you some of the most magical places. There's plenty of them.
In partnership with Cicerone Press, I've produced more than two dozen guidebooks for walkers and trekkers. Guides that indicate the where, the why and the how to make the most of your outdoor holiday, whether that be in various corners of Europe, or in Nepal.
Take your pick from one of the following menus: Introduction; Books; Cards;
The Alps; The Himalaya; The Pyrenees; England (Southern England); Lectures;
Maybe there's something there for you. But if not, well, just enjoy browsing.
